Formuler cc 4k atsc

Has anyone here used this box?
Wondering how the ota atsc tuner works, and looking for a player that is capable of time shift.
I use a Buzz 4500 which I like but does neither of these added features. Thanks

atsc was supported with the stick and timeshift is working in the buzz 5 beta

Thanks for the heads up. Have you tried this new update? Says expect bugs. Also which atsc stick for the 4500? Does the guide work on ota?

Took the update. Can't get my box off of buzztv5 screen.
Should have known better.
The comment should have said expect bricked box

Update
Several hard power resets and no factory reset available. This update was an instant kill to my 200 dollar buzz 4500 on Christmas. Followed instructions went to ota update entered 2015 now my box is fked

what version of buzz tv is on now?
No idea what a hard power reset is.
If you did a hard reset which involves using a pin it brings up the android recovery screen. Factory set is on that menu
If the menu didnt come up you were doing it wrong

Finally got to reset by removing power and pressing pin on startup. Had to wipe box clean starting all over. Hope it's worth all this

Yes ,it's available on all buzz 4 models and updated units except for the 4900

Didn't work. If you read the update description it's says in BOLD NO WAY TO REVERT BACK TO BUZZTV 4 once you update.
A fresh format of the device it's still at btv5 and now I see it won't read my flash drive that was married to the box v4 this.
Quite obvious btv let's users be the guinea pig to see what fiasco their wonderful dev can bring us. Every update is something, this one being the worst.

You are absolutely correct. As I stated above I should've known better. Judging by the track record of bugs even in official updates from a team that obviously releases these updates with little or any debugging I should have avoided at all cost.

Let this be a lesson to everyone else. If you wanna render your buzztv box bricked just update it.

every update has been previously tested for years now

obvious? What is obvious is you dont know the purpose of backup/restore. It is not to revert back It is backup all your settings favs etc so if there is an issue you can restore your settings

how is your unit bricked? I updated a 4500 after you did with no issues and most people that have are working fine and are reporting bugs

Yea well somehow you missed the part about the box not reading my thumb drive I married the box to which conveniently held my backup. As far as I can tell that drive is screwed as the box no longer sees it nor a cpu.
The drive seems to be corrupted

Followed instructions even checking to be sure the file was same date. Waited for install, on reboot box would stay at the buzztv 5 screen.
Nothing would work on rescue screen except factory reset.
Only 2 apps I added to box

Oh yea? You mean like the last one from November that had problems right out of the gate. I was still having problems with it to this date.
