I bet on either the 8psk or power supply.Remove the hd module & try to tune in a non-hd channel on the 91 sat.
Are you getting any messages like Bad signal,No signal showing on TV Screen ?
If so then it is most likely the Power Adapter (plugs in wall) that feeds your T5, especially if it
Was the original one that came with the box, have you changed it out lately, you need one 12v 4-6amp
For the T5 to operate correctly.
Try feeling the wall mounted power supply,(wall wart) if it's warm it's probably working, if all channels are in the red then it's probably something in the receiver.
The 97 red reading could mean that the receiver is working and receiving a signal from the LNB's, it would go to zero or something much lower then 97 if the LNB's or switch had quit.
I would go with the noofs suggestion and remove the HD module and try a SD channel.
Has your service run out
Also check in satellite if sat 91 and 82 are setup properly
Ordered new power supply today, will be a couple days. Have to go back on roof, moved dish all over earlier, too windy today. Will go up with my satellite finder when it's not so windy. Will keep everyone informed as I go.
These splitters you talk about, where are they located in your setup, if between the LNB Feed to your T5
it won't work Properly, the receiver switching will get all out of wack over time. far as I recall/remember & I could
wrong on this, the receiver has to talk to the LNB on a constant bases, having splitters in-between mucks things up.
To lock/find his problem i would leave the splitters out of the setup & add them in after problem solved if needed.
OK then, that is not called a splitter, it is either a combiner or a switch like a SW21 or SW44
Or a Tone switch combiner etc. Splitters That I recall take the Single feed and split it into 2 sources/locations
like for 2-TV's etc. Those do not work with FTA Sat. equipment because they are not switches or combiners.
Is he maybe using a diseq switch that has 4 ports? If so, try switching from the current 2 ports you are using to the other unused ones.
New power supply 6 amp didn't help. Ordered a expensive sat finder, will be here Wednesday. My cheap finder I bought wouldn't work at all.
Go to dishpointer dot com put in your location what dish being used & what sats. you want to hit
and the program will give you the info to where you need to point the dish, including a line of sight bar from your dish location
Buy a cheap compass instead of a cheap sat finder.Have you tried removing the hd module as I suggested?
Dishpointer dot com has an app for most cell phones, (if my memory is still working right) some phones also have a compass app, (my apple does) you can use your cell phone to help you out.
Funny thing, I don't have a cell phone.
If the module is defective,it will interfere with both signal streams. If you had of tried this before you reaimed the dish that you said didn't move,it would have been a better test. Now you don't know if it's signal lost beacuse of component failure or dish alignment
P.S...yes,you will get the 91 sat with the module removed.
