True, however i was just reporting the difference here.....I've seen this on other sites just didn't pick up on the change.
Thanks bro, as I stated above, just wasn't aware of the site changes to accomplish the same thing in a different way.

I have also noticed this but I prefer it the old way where all posts showed up in new posts page even after you've read them...just me.
What's New? = activity.php (This is vBulletin gathering all the latest threads by way of the MySQL database.)
New Posts = search.php (This is more sophisticated and nuanced. Search.php queries against the search index whereby the entire site is crawled every Sunday morning and a delta is crawled every five minutes; it factors in time, threads visited, and your cookies. Obviously, threads you previously opened are no longer new.)
The choice is yours.
Ok , did my research tonight and once you read a post in "new post" it disappears from the new posts...like I said I don't like it and Over the years I've seen many sites that did this but I didn't like the option and that's all it is an option. maybe we need to start a poll and see who likes what?
I like it the way it is
no old crap filling up my search of new posts
the site running smooth now without errors is what I like the most
if a few little changes came with that, so be it
ill take reliability over a few changes any day
Yeah but i'm from the very old days with this site and the previous in 2007 that booted us lol. New posts have always been the way they were before and I could go back to see what gibberish I posted lol. That's my vote on this as it is being discussed...
The search daemon was not running properly because of some wrong permissions. It is running correctly every five minutes now. Does "New Posts" work better? jazzman, nobodyspecial, surfinisfun?
