OK as some have been reporting in other threads, I have lost all transponders on Nimiq 1. (in the central California area)

All read 0% "Q" on every TP from 12224 to 12676, so it looks like 80% of the US is out of luck for signals from BEV on 82/91.

We would still like reports from those South of the US Canadian border that still have signals from 91W.

    Thanks to all that respond.

I thought Canada and us were best buds. But will they share their shiny new satellite with this loyal viewer near the MD, PA border? Hmmm?

No! I put out a 1 meter dish and an Invacom LNB --- nothing!

See if I ever eat beaver again, unfriendly neighbors! And, by- the-way, "hat" is pronounced "HAT" not "toupe".

With a name like mistress i can tell your going to have a tough time giving up eating beaver but for us guys no matter how unfriendly our neighbors are we will not give up eating beaver. I also tip my HAT to you for taking a stance on this issue.

LMAO well I for one like the beaver I harvest three times a week.

Oh by the way that's toque and here is a bit of history on it.

In Canada, toque, or tuque (play /ˈtuːk/), is the common name for a knitted winter hat. The Canadian English term was assimilated from Canadian French tuque. Toque first appeared in writing around 1870.[1][2][3]

The fashion is said to have originated with the coureurs de bois, French and M騁is fur traders, who kept their woollen nightcaps on for warmth during cold winter days. Such hats are known in other English-speaking countries by a variety of names, including beanie (American), watch cap or stocking cap; the terms tuque and toque are unique to Canada and northern areas of the United States, close to the Canadian border.

I'm in PA. in the Scranton--Wilkes Barre area and my friend tells me he lost about 20% to 25% viewing with a dish 500. I should say i'm talking about SAT 91 with the changes today.

I've got a Bel sub with a regular Bel dish and in the Toronto area the signal strength has jumped substantially

TP 02 (WPIX) I lost signal frequently, use to be 53%, now it's 86%
    TP 25 (Discovery) was around 83% now it's 94%
TP 30 (KTLA) was around 55% previously, now it's 83%

I hate spot beams, almost as much as scraping and stretching beaver pelts

Try looking at the foot print for 82W, it is supposed to be the same.

Here is a link to it.

Transponders are the same, see post #27 on page 2 of this thread for a list.
