How to load the Limesat Ultra

    1) Unpack the STB and check to see that you have no visible damage.

    2) Connect the LNB cable, audio/video (use the rca cable…….Red, White and Yellow), Ethernet cable and plug in the power cable.

    3) Turn the unit on (Switch is on the back of the unit) and ensure you get a picture. If the image looks pink and faded don’t worry as
the video setting is set for European TV. Loading the bins will fix this so just carry on with the setup. (If you do not get a picture using
the yellow RCA cable, try using another video output. In my case I used the S video!)

    4) Download and unzip the latest factory bin and the latest third party software and put them on your memory stick. Files are located in the download section.

NOTE: When loading the bin files do not disturb or turn off the stb. It will advise you when the bin is finished loading!

    5) Insert the memory stick to the forward usb port. Using the remote control go into the
menu and pull up the memory stick. It should show you the bin files in the menu. If the
unit doesn’t recognize the memory stick reboot with the memory stick in the stb. If you
still can’t get the unit to recognize the memory stick you will have to load the factory bin
using the null cable and the loader. (I will explain this a little later.)

    6) Highlight the factory bin and hit OK. Answer yes to the pop-up asking if you want to
update and hit OK. When it has completed loading the bin file reboot the unit. At this
point the GUI’s (menu’s) appearance will change and the pink colour video should
    disappear.

    7) Now you can load the latest bin in the same way you did the factory bin and then
    reboot the stb again.

    8) At this point it will normally connect to the internet automatically.

    9) Now go in and set up the first sat you want and scan!

    10) Once you have done this exit the menus and tune into a working channel. Give the unit a few moments to decrypt the signal. You should have tv.

    Loading using the null cable.

    1) Download and install the Limesat loader on your computer. From download section.

    2) Unzip the factory bin to the desk top.

    3) With the STB powered off, connect the null cable to your computer and to the STB.

    4) Open the loader. Setup to Download S/W, Set Port then browse and select the bin file you want to load.

    5) Hold the power button on the front of the STB and turn on the power switch on the back.

    6) You should see “boot” on the front of the STB.

    7) Hit start on the loader and the unit should start loading the bin. If you have selected the wrong port change the setting and redo the procedure.

FILL IN THE SERVER SETTING SCREEN AS FOLLOWS:

    1. IP/URL: server name that you got
    2. TCP Port: ASSIGNED PORT
    3. DES KEY: (input the des key that was sent along with your code)
    4. USER NAME: (Input you 14-digit pass code)
    5. PASSWORD: (Input your 14-digit pass code)
    6. NETWORK SETTINGS: NewCS
    .
Once you have entered all the above information, hit the BLUE button to initiate server interface.
Now Hit EXIT until you come to the channel screen.
    Finally wait for picture.

Can you help a NOOB? I have a new Limesat Ultra V1. I downloaded the latest bin file (2.73) to a flash drive and plugged it into the Limesat receiver, but the "manage USB" tells me "no files". When I disconnect the flash drive the message changes to "no drive" so I think it is seeing the drive. I tried "restore factory settings" with the same results, "no files"....

I didn't want you to think I was spending the money on myself. That's why I posted a reply explaining where the SatFix Bux went.

Here's a little token of my gratitude for your generous donation. Please accept it in the spirit that its meant...

You need to unrar/unzip the file then put it on the flash drive.

Format the drive then drag and drop extracted file to usb rather than send.

I has 275 bin and did a factory rewrite to 103 before loading final 273, in preparation to get it working this weekend.

I had the exact same problem. Even rebooting with USB stick didn't help. I was about to look for my null modem cable to hook up to serial port.

However, and surprisingly enough, when I tried a different USB stick, it read the files on that for some strange reason. So I just loaded the bin on that working USB stick and it loaded beautifully. I have no clue why my other USB didn't work but this is what just fixed it for me around an hour ago. Hope it helps.
