T-bar costs more than drywall and is not good for resell value..The ducts and ect if not to late should be ran along the wall and bulk headed..Then placed inside the floor joice to the aproppriate place...Access panels can be installed if needed..I would recommend moisture resistant drywall...Green or blue...For the whole room...

Access panels are relatively cheap and come in different sizes..All you need is some backing to screw them too..Not rocket science...Jmo..Good luck....

Finally the ceiling is finished,I think I made the best decision for my situation.

Certainly more expensive than sheetrock, but is guaranteed for ten years and always have access if needed.

I incorporated two plastic Fluorescent Lights, and moved the ceiling fan directly on a timer switch.(thank you satchick)

A ceiling quite expensive, considering the room size (12/9) feet. With the two lights I spent almost $ 800 only for material.

I was very surprised because the lights do not come with bulbs included for $ 120 each....you have to buy separately for $ 45 each...

Thanks to my wife for helping me to bring all the materials down here,it was not easy stairs are very abrupt and very narrow.

Next step is to clean the room and wait for ceramics tile (already ordered). We decided the same color for the entire room, but different sizes

8/10 for the walls end 13/13 for the floor.

Will take some time to install the ceramics, I have all the necessary tools, the small tile I will cut directly in the bathroom,

end the 13/13 I will cut in garage with the wet tile saw.The manual tile cutters have limitations, they cannot cut 13/13.

Thank you all for your advice, and I will come soon with new images with ceramics tile...

I started installing the ceramics tile, going slowly but well to the walls...

I hope to finish the walls next week and start on the bathroom floor...

If you haven't installed the tile on the flooring yet, I'd go with "ultra board" , and then install the tile, in cold climates, installing tile directly on plywood, could very likely cause grout to crack and even cause tile to break or even come loose from the floor....Wood will expand and contract , Tile is not meant to do that ....everything looks great though man.....nice work...

Looks good; good choice on the tile color for the walls, the light color (and gloss?) really brighten up the room. The ceiling looks well done too, the bars look straight and level. I don't think it looks bad at all, I've got a T-bar ceiling in my own basement, sometimes there's no avoiding it because of what's up there.

Grouting ceramic tile is a skill.

When you mix grout with water, it is important to add just the right amount.

If you add too much water as you mix and the grout will never get as hard as grout mixed properly.

I'm glad I finally finished the walls and the bath-tub and I could begin the floor.

I have not changed anything (add) on the floor, I wanted to avoid a big step at the entrance in bathroom,I have not isolated between the two floors

because I wanted the air to circulate more easily and if I have a problem with a pipe insulation would be hard to dry there.

Look bad the main water valve of the house, but it was too complicated to change location.

With the holidays fast approaching I will take a short break and I will continue in January...

I wish you happy holidays, health and much joy for 2013 to you and your familys...

    Enjoy and take care...
