Question can't disable internal wireless in 12.04

Just started playing with ubuntu 12.04 and my asus netbook with internal rtl8187se wifi and noticed I can't turn it off so I can use my external alfa awus036h device.Unbuntu actually turns the thing on in bios and both internal and external devices can either be on or off together but not individually.Bug it the OS or what? With both devices turned on there is a clash and I can't connect to the net.

It's kind of a late reply but your internet ports should be set in sequence
    eth 0 (zero)
    eth 1
    eth 2
    etc...
Its been a long time since I have used Ubuntu. I use Kubuntu & they are different.
You should be able to go into your control module & check/set/turn on/off default connections.
Ubuntu will look for the open connections.
You will probably have to log in as root.
Im sure it's a simple task, but I'm no expert

    1. 10' Unimesh 18” actuator DMX741
    1. 10' Unimesh 18” actuator DMX741U
    1. 10' (no name solid) used as a solar collector
