I lost my Mom and Dad 13 years ago. When it happened I felt like someone stole my sun from the sky for world grew cold and dark. Many years and many miles since than and I'm still not FINE I will never get over her but I learned to somehow keep living on. My mom loved the holidays and since she left I haven't celibrated any of them I just seem to disappear for those months and reappear when they are over. I wish I could say my parents leaving affected me the worse but all my brothers and sisters are truly sensitive to the subject probably because we lost them so young (we were all in our 20's)..If you read this take the time to tell your mom how much she means to you for my last time kissing my mother's cheeks she already passed

a very wise man told me years ago when his mother passed:
one mother can raise a village but a village cannot replace one mother

    my name is redemption

Fantastic thread to start kat, everyone should do a little something (no matter the cost) for Mom before you don't have that option.

Me, I'll be paying a visit on Sunday with some kind of plants (I'll do my best with that but...) and a couple of boxes of ice cream drum sticks, she loves those.

It is sad to lose your mother so early in life. I am one of the more fortunate, as I had my mother for more than 65 years. She died Easter monday 2011 in her 102nd year. I new her time was winding down and tried to do all the things that I knew I would regret if let pass. Mother's day is a couple days away. Sit and just talk with your mother, as that far better and appreciated more than any material thing you could ever give her. God bless all mothers.

Her legacy is you and the wonderful memories she gave you. Though the pain of our losses fad over time they are always with us because of the incredible people they were.

Lost my Mom 8 years ago. She was 95 years old. Longevity runs through my family some lived over 100. Thinking of her today was still difficult.
