I am presently in rental accommodations and do not have a physical router present in my apartment. I am able to connect wirelessly only.

Thank you for the response DU. How do I address the choices available in XX-Client as they are Viewsat and CNX only?

Stu
forget about xx client.. just plug in the network into the nano..but my opinion is to put away the nano and get another box such as a dreamlink as you will get more freezing on the nano..
I have connected the box to the laptop, and now receive the message "Network : Please wait 3 SEC...:
Any ideas ?
Thank you
Stu
open IP set up select auto & hit apply... you may need to wait a few moments to populate IP... make sure firewall is off
Thank you for the kind response. I tried the steps you suggested without success. The laptop I am using is connected to the internet wirelessly. Firewall is turned off on the laptop in addition to the desktop. I have connected the supplied RS232 cable from the rear of the STB to the RS232 port on the laptop. I am receiving the message "Network : please wait 3 sec" which I assume means that it is not even connecting to my router. Any other suggestions would be greatly welcomed.

You don't use the RS232 cable, you use a regular network cable from the receiver to your laptop, but you must "bridge" your wifi & network connections together.
Highlight both your ethernet and wifi connections in your network window using the shift key, then right-click and select Bridge Connections.
