    Default xx-client and windows 7 64 bit

In a short while I hope to upgrade my computer from windows 32 bit xp home edition to windows 7 64 bit. May I assume that xx-client will work just as well , if not better , on the new setup? I'm betting that it will but I wanted to make sure. Any comments from those with windows 7 ,64 bit, using xx-client? I presently kave xx-client 2.4.162.982 ........

I ran one of the original version of xx with the com0com setup on windows vista 64 bit. I would just set the property's of the exe to run in Windows XP SP3 compatible mode.

Better yet just dedicate a router to the xx client and not even need a PC, what STB do you want to run of xx?

xx-client 2.x doesn't require com0com and should have no problem running on Windows 64bit.

You probably won't notice a difference in running. Actually 32 bit memory addressing is faster than 64 bit. 64 bit comes in handy when addressing larger amounts of RAM, xx-client doesn't use a lot of RAM anyway........so any benefits will be negligible. The CPU speed and whether there are multiple cores are much more important.

For xx-client and a viewsat hd max it is suggested that the port be set at 19200 bits. Would there be any benefit(problem) if it were set higher?
    Thanks
