    Default Jynxbox M1 is here

Jynxbox has answered some users requests it seems. In addition to its android line of media players they have released a pure linux STB that run XBMC only.

It is a little STB about the same size as the Android M3 unit. The CPU is a Arm Core A9 with 2 gb nand memory. It has 3 USB slots as well as a micro SD slot capable of reading up to 32 gb micro sd card. It has a new remote (IR) that at first I was unsure about but after using it I have come to be very fond of the remote. The first thing that surprised me is that when I put the batteries in and started to push some of the buttons my regular Android started to respond to the remote, no donlge needed.
This remote makes navigating through XBMC a breeze, no more swinging your arm across in front of you to choose a different menu choice, just a few clicks on the directions buttons and viola.
It comes with V12.0 Frodo of XBMC. Just that no repros installed just bare bones XBMC which at first through me for a loop as I had become spoiled and lazy with all these XBMC releases with all the repositories installed. I actually had to think, and it came back to me so I added the link to Fusion and off I went.
I want to take it slowly with this device so I started by installing Navi-X, Project Free TV and GiddyUP network. This little box flies with XBMC I must say, when you click a menu item it responds right away very little wait time as compared to the Android version. I tried some live streaming through Giddyup and I was impressed by the quality of the image, no sync issues with audio, no pixelization, just Jim Kirk saving the universe. I also tried streaming a HD movie with Navi-X and wow, not a glitch, no external players just really good picture and sound, it was only 1080i however I haven't had too much time to really push this STB yet.

This is the first Jynxbox item that came with a setup guide. I tells you about unpacking the box which I though was funny as it is the last item to be removed from the box, it is on the very bottom. There is a warranty card as well.

More to come as I investigate this fast little device.

The more I use this STB the more I really like the new remote. Much easier to navigate the menus and it flies through any playlist that Navi-X puts up. It feels good in your hand, you can reach all the buttons without having to move the remote. The new remote and XBMC works hand in hand with each other.
There is no more need to recharge the remote as this one uses 2 AAA batteries.

I bought one of these units.

I have Pure JynxBox M1 XBMC Wifi Setup

How do I setup Network drive to play mp3s and videos on Pure JynxBox M1 XBMC ?

How can I ftp to transfer some files to internal memory of my box. Like plugin addons and
strm extension files so I can live stream using
my box. Or is there any other easy way to transfer files to internal memory which has 2 gigs right ?

What is the port number and username and password do I use to ftp ?

Can one actually load a main software in behind xbmc,
if so how do you do it?

    Thanks

To add a network drive go to Video - files and then add the click add video, it will open a dialogue box that will allow you to input the ip address of the device or you can select browse and you can search for the device via several methods.
Read this thread http://www.satfix.net/showthread.php...id-HD-Feedback it will help you with the addons and streaming.

    I got to here-

Confused as to where and what box to type in the I.P. address ?

Could you please tell me where to put the I.P. address ?

Is it in the box where it says

"Enter a name for this media Source" ???

You enter the I.P. address of the device in that box?

    Thanks

I have been getting nothing but script errors whenever I click on a video plugin add-on like Ex-Pat and in Icefilms.

How can prevent this from happenning, so it will connect and play the video successfully ?

    Thanks

    Thanks

First questios: Enter the IP address where is says NONE and give a name for the link where it says Enter name for media link.

Second question: you can't prevent script errors but you could try reinstalling the repros or uninstall them and then reinstall them. Make your self a link to Fusion as the instructions indicate in the link I sent you to in the above post.
I found it better to go slowly with the repros and play with one at a time. When I install loads of them that is when I started to get lots of errors. It will take a little while to get through them but that way you end up with the ones that you will use.

Where do I go to in XBMC to uninstall the repos ?

I uninstalled Ex-Pat and re-installed the add-on, but still has script error.

Anybody knows whether Ex-Pat is working currently or not? Because I can't get any videos from BBC 1, 2 and ITV etc..
I always getting script error whenever I click on those boxes.

    Thanks

Since this is Linux O.S. box.

You know if we can use Micro SD card formatted by default as Fat32 in the M1 Micro sd card slot ?

Will it work to play mp3 , avi, mpg and mp4 files from the formatted Fat32 micro sd card using Jynx Box M1 ?

Or do we have to re-format it in Linux or NTSC format before we can mount the micro sd card and able to use to play it ther media files on it ?

    Thanks
