    Default Clone Killed

I bought my first fta reciever a few days ago so i am pretty new to the game. I got a jynxbox v3 which i thought was legit brought it home loaded 251 bin and now it seems like everything works except nothing happens when search channels. So i tried to load 239 bin and it is stuck on the 251 in system info. So if it is a clone is there anyway to bring it back or is my jynxbox now a boat anchor?

You could try loading the factory file with the PC loader and a straight through serial cable. Although if it is a clone you might end up with the This is a Clone message at any time.

You can get a serial cable for about $8 or less. No harm in trying.

I didn't want you to think I was spending the money on myself. That's why I posted a reply explaining where the SatFix Bux went.

Here's a little token of my gratitude for your generous donation. Please accept it in the spirit that its meant...

Moved your thread to where it belongs. If you find out you have a clone this thread will be moved to the clone section.
As for your issue of nothing happening when trying to search channels is not a file issue but more than likely a setting issue.
The more you play with the unit the more you will likely mess up the box altogether. Check all you setting's very carefully.

What dish & LNBs are you using, what are your settings in the sat menu, if you will post more info we can help you set it up.

Did you turn the LNB power on, or look to see that it is on, do you know that your dish is aimed correctly, is your coax cable good,
is the coax hooked to the correct port on the back of the receiver, did you set 119.0w to port 1, 110.0w to port 2 & 129.0w to port 3
This is a list of things for you to check.

Currently running a 722 subscribed to dish network so yes dish is aimed correctly. Also using that reciever to power the dish. I have signal on my jynxbox and have found all channels with it on 239 bin. Had no issues until i switched it to 251. Its like it doesnt even try to scan

    try this from bob first
then format your usb to ntfs
then make sure your usb has only one file on it
    then upload to reciever
    let reboot
    DO NOT TURN OFF
    it will reboot
    factory reset
    then setup sats etc etc

    good luck

Yes you want it on, I cant get to my jynxbox at this time & I don't remember just where it is, but when you are in the main menu
its in one of the sub menus, just start at the top and work your way down, look in each section.
