Default Azbox ultra will not move motor.

My azbox ultra will not move my diseqc1.2 positioner. I can setup the dish in positioner setup no problem. So I scan in my channels save them and exit out. After all my satelites and channels are set up I try to go to a channel but the dish will not move. I have FM VERSION 0.95402 on the receiver. Is this a bug with the box? Or is there something I am missing? hank you

How did you setup your North & West settings without a remote.

Ok check that your usual is set in the sat menu, set your north & west then press ok then go down to=go to position= and press ok
now go to your dish and set your dish mover back to 0 then press the reset button on your dish mover/motor then do a hard boot
on the receiver and it should work.
now for each sat you need to turn on usual in the sat menu.

I think for now I am just going to slave it to my openbox or use positioner remote control to move dish. I am going to print your instructions and add it to my azbox manual my friend

"Slave it to my Open box" ????

If your thinking on useing the IF loop through to run to your Azbox then don't, that will cause all sorts of headaches.

I would run a second coax if I were you.

And you have an external Diseqc positioner for your dish???? What size dish and what type of motor are we talking about here?? "C" band?

Your positioner should be set up manually to move the dish as a stand alone. That is normally what I do with my 2 big dishes, just save the sats in your vbox.

So the only way I can move dish is to use the vbox positioner remote? I do have my satellite arc already stored in vbox positioner? If I press 10 and enter I will go to ses 101w. I really want to setup the azbox so I only need one remote instead of the two.

You are sure right on the loop out causing problems. So how would I get the azbox to move my dish with the equipment that I have?

Sorry you can't directly move the linear motor on your dish setup with your type of receiver, it does not have the DC power to do so, the Vbox is the only way.

You need to read the manual on your V box, I think there is a way to do it and have the azbox to send the command to the V box.
