Default What is the difference between the Ihub/SVlan and WIZ110SR?

I haven't been using my SV Elite 360 for a long while. I have both, the Ihub and Wiz110R but I don't recall which I was using since it's been years ago when I did.

Is it possible to use either; is there an advantage or a disadvantage using one over the other? Could the Wiz110R be used with a different brand of receiver/model?

I read a lot about both devices, but I'm still very confused.

Please... your insight would be appreciated - Thanks!

Well, since you program the Wiz device to imitate a hub, there really is not a lot of diff. The Ihub has a chip inside that the wiz does not, but it is only there to verify the gizmo to the box as an I hub--so no advantage in it being there for other device use. I'm sure the wiz device could be used with another receiver but you would have to program it to do so--I'm thinking that few would bother (it would be just as easy and cheaper to use an internal gizmo to do serial to web interface--you can buy devices like that for about $2).
