    Default Channel Scan Help

    Hey Guys,

I'm hoping you guys can help me out. This maybe receiver specific but because its not the same for all receivers I thought I would ask it here.

I'm having trouble scanning in NFLHD and NHLHD channels on 82W. I have three receivers, Limesat HD Air, Linkbox HD Local and Megatvi. I have confirmed all receivers have the current tps. I can scan the transponders where those HD channels are and channels come in but not those with the exception of the Megatvi. The Megatvi gets all channels. I'm using the same hardware for all receivers (description below). Do the channels need to be active (live) to scan for the LS and LB? Any suggestions you can give me?

    Current hardware:

    1st TV
    T90 - Torroidal Dish (91, 97, 110, 118, 119, 129)
    24" Round Dish - (82)
    Centauri Diseqc w/ 22Khz ON - 82, 91, 97
    Centauri Diseqc w/ 22KHz OFF - 110, 118, 119, 129
    22KHz out to receiver

2nd TV (Same setup using 2nd port on each lnb)
    T90 - Torroidal Dish (91, 97, 110, 118, 119, 129)
    24" Round Dish - (82)
    Centauri Diseqc w/ 22Khz ON - 82, 91, 97
    Centauri Diseqc w/ 22KHz OFF - 110, 118, 119, 129
    22KHz out to receiver

    Thanks for your help!

I likely am not going to be much help but I'll give it a try. Typically the prov has a test card in place for a channel that is not actively sending video and audio of the usual sort, but if that is not there then your box will not see them. They sometimes use a set of PID that the boxes can not see--that could be your problem--then you have to enter the PID manually. Entering the PID manually would solve the first problem too.
