Washington, D.C. (March 15, 2010) -- Panasonic this week is launching a 15-city tour to promote its new 3-D HDTVs and related products.

The tour, which begins today in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, will end in Miami in mid-April. (See event specifics at the end of this story.)

At each event, consumers will be able to use and interact with 3-D Home Theater systems.

"Many people may have heard about these new advances but we want to give consumers across the US a chance to experience it all for themselves and see first-hand how it can enrich their lives," says Bob Perry, Panasonic senior vice president.

The tour exhibit will include 3-D Plasma HDTVs, LCD and LED HDTVs, Blu-ray players, 3-D glasses and LUMIX Digital cameras and camcorders.

Best Buy last week began selling the Panasonic 3-D televisions, but the TV maker says this will likely be the first time that many people will have an opportunity to see 3-D TV in person.

"For many people, this will be the first opportunity for them to experience for themselves the immersive world of Full HD 3D," said Perry. "People who have already had the chance to see one of our demos have been amazed at the depth and sense of being there that Full HD 3D delivers. It is something they won't want to miss."
