Depending on what part of NA you are located but for most this satellite is easy to pick up and signal quality is strong so a dish of about 30"-36" will suffice.

I've pointed a couple of dishes to that sat in Windsor, ON; so like the previous poster said depends on your location. Also the further west you get the lower the elevation will be.

I'm in Massachusetts, but the package of Portuguese chan that i was talking about are for this sat but the beam is directed to Europe,i don't think nobody can get these in USA despite of you being able to get this sat.

The link I posted for you has a North America Footprint and Europe footprint. It is clearly visible in eastern North America!
    Code:

And you get RTP1,SIC,TVI,Sportv1,2,3,4 and so on? i don't think so,not even scrambled,i told you guys the beam that carries these chan is only for Europe. You may get this sat in Canada but only with Chan that can be seen in Noth America ,here in Massachusetts only can go to 60 west max. if you say you can get this sat tell us what chan you get,you don't have to have the chan unscrambled to see the chan #'s and name on your receiver, i for example have a 36" satellite when i switch to DBS LNB i can see all the D*net chan names and frequencies just can't see the scrambled video unless i have one of those pirate receivers and pay for a code.

Quit posting live links to outside sites please.

    Now on these channels.

If you are within the footprint for those channels (see the satbeams link) you would be able to receive them, however the beam for Europe is not viewable in North America with any size dish available to most consumers.

Estimated dish size for the antenna scatter on the European beam is about a 30 meter, the satellite also has to be above your viewable horizon for your location.

Now if you live at a radio telescope facility or a deep space telemetry dish site with a viewing angle to see that satellite you may be in luck.

Some of the tp's on that satellite have beams only for Europe, some only for the Americas.
As far as lnb type you need a linear lnb.

Unless your dish can see through the ground, only NA frequecies will be 11700-12200 for Hispasat.
