    Thumbs up HOT droplight

Have you ever burnt yourself or burnt your carpet with a hot droplight/shop light/ well I have and I have found
a way to stop it, I just went to lowes and got a 100W LED Warm White light bulb and after 4hrs it is just warm.
They say it should last for 18,000 hrs and it has a 2 year warranty.
For less than 15 usd, the brand I got is/Ultra Tech/.
This is the best money I have spent in a long time

I'll have to look for one. I remember those things being dangerous especially when doing anything with fuel. I bought a couple fluorescent ones years ago. Last year I bought an LED one that works pretty well.

LED lamps are good, & safer too, but I find they don't do well being dropped.Incandescent are fragile too,but much cheaper if you go through lots of them.

After I burned a customers carpet at the Honda dealer over 30 years ago the boss bought us all florescent lights. They never even got warm. I actually just passed it on to my Grandson this year as I never use it anymore but it is still as bright as new.

Well I am still using the same bulb I got back in 2015 and it works great.
The price now for the same bulb is less than 5 USD, I replaced all the bulbs in my house about a year ago with 60 watt LED bulbs and have not had any to go bad, with the old school bulbs it was about 1 a week.

I always used rough service bulbs in my drop lights, but the LED bulbs are the way to go, however if dropped hard enough they can stop working.
