    Ruby Sparks (2012)

A novelist struggling with writer's block finds romance in a most unusual way: by creating a female character he thinks will love him, then willing her into existence. Imdb: 7,2/10 Personal opinion: This movie has a great idea behind it and a great deliverence of that idea. I really enjoyed this one. 8/10
    Adventureland (2009)

In the summer of 1987, a college graduate takes a 'nowhere' job at his local amusement park, only to find it's the perfect course to get him prepared for the real world. Imdb: 6,8/10 Personal opinion: This movie is entertaining. I always enjoy Jesse Eisenbergs acting and this is no exception. 7/10
    Short term 12 (2013)

A 20-something supervising staff member of a residential treatment facility navigates the troubled waters of that world alongside her co-worker and longtime boyfriend. Imdb: 8/10 Personal Opinion: It's rare that a film moves you to tears and then in the next moment makes you belly laugh, all within context of a very real, grounded story. 9/10

    Inside Llewyn Davis (2013)

A week in the life of a young singer as he navigates the Greenwich Village folk scene of 1961. Imdb: 7,4/10 Personal opinion: This is quite simply a masterpiece and maybe the Coen Brothers finest work. This is a great film for someone who appreciates good cinema and not your run of the mill high budget Hollywood nonsense. It has got a great score as well. In my eyes Oscar Issac had produced the performance of his life and should be very proud of his achievement as so the Cohen brothers. 9/10
    Chef (2014)

A chef who loses his restaurant job starts up a food truck in an effort to reclaim his creative promise, while piecing back together his estranged family. Imdb: 7,3/10 Personal opinion: This is a movie to watch if you just want to feel good. You feel like the movie had no script at all, that's how natural the writing was. Remarkably cliché-free. Watch out though, you might want to get something to eat while watching cause this is mostly foodporn - the amazing kind. 8,5/10
    Seven psychopaths (2012)

A struggling screenwriter inadvertently becomes entangled in the Los Angeles criminal underworld after his oddball friends kidnap a gangster's beloved Shih Tzu. Imdb: 7,2/10 Personal opinion: You know from the very first scene that this is not your typical Hollywood junk. It was HYSTERICAL, albeit in a pretty sick and twisted way - this is not for the faint of heart. The script is razor sharp, and you couldn't dream up a better cast to bring it to life. I've always liked Sam Rockwell, but this was a star-making turn for him (at least in my book). You've never seen a movie quite like this. 8,5/10
    Moonrise Kingdom (2012)

A pair of young lovers flee their New England town, which causes a local search party to fan out to find them. Imdb: 7,8/10 Personal opinion: I loved this movie! One of Wes Anderson's best - up there with Rushmore and Fantastic Mr Fox. Top reasons to see this movie: The love story between the quirky dark characters was so sweet. The casting for the 2 lead kids was spot on! You can see this movie with your kids. They won't get all of the subtle humor but you will. The music and the film setting. The quirkiness of the filming, scenes, and narrator. Everyone in short pants... classic! Bruce Willis is actually good in it. Beautifully shot. At the end of the movie you'll have a smile on your face and a tear in your eye. 9/10
