Had one to crash and burn a few months back. First it lost complete Q & S and then the android part stopped working or shows as not installed in the menu. Wasn't long after that the composite video side went out. Tried various things to no avail...the only conclusion I've come up with is that it must be a bad main board. Bought a new LS500 module thinking that was the Q & S issue but didn't solve it. Also had bought a bigger 2 pin fan to mount internally to help with cooling the new LS500 (50mm x 50mm x 10mm) but no cigar at present. It's a shame but that's the way it goes. Tried various files to no avail as well.

The only thing I can suggest is load the factory file and do a reset then load the latest file and do a reset.
I have seen several peeps have the same issue and never got them to work even with a new module.
It might not hurt to remove the Android board first. If you can get it to recover then you can try installing the Android.

I had tried loading the factory and a few others a month or so back but thought I would give it one more try. First factory reset the stb...then loaded the file that came pre-installed which was the 2.1. Factory reset once more then powered off and reinstalled the android module...rebooted and factory reset once more still would not recognize the android module. So I tried once more with the factory file as well and followed the same steps as with the 2.1 and same results...it just won't recognize the android module any more for some reason. All seemed fine up until I lost Q & S on the dish side. Since then and to quote a phrase from the movie pirates of silicon valley...all I have now is a pretty box that lights up lol. Would have been nice if I could still use one side or the other but looks to be a dead issue.

I tried to see if I could find a way or a pattern to help you out but I came up empty. May just put mine back together and box it up and add it to my collection of stb's resting comfortably in there original boxes lol. Only the second one that I've had to crash and burn...first was my sonicview some years back.

My original one is still working good running a motor right now. I did put a two inch fan on the cover as it ran way too hot for my liking.

I have a dead one with same problem being sent to me to try get running as we speak. It will go down to the test bench as soon as I get it and we will see if we can recover it.

Well I cannot get this one to go passed BOOT.
If I hold the power button in and power up it goes as far as ER-1

Same thing whether I have the module and android boards in or out.

I will try a loader tomorrow

OK finally got this thing to take.

This has been tried by some and they say it didn't work but it has for me this time.

C/P Thanks for this procedure kash

    download the latest file

    rename it to factory_fw.udf

Put the file on the USB drive

USB drive will only have factory_fw.udf file

Now unplug the unit from power

Insert the USB drive into any USB port

Hold the Front Power Down and keep holding it

Plug in power to your unit

You will see UPGRD on the front display, release the front power button

It will take long to erase and write

After completing it will display FINSH/done on the front display

press the power button from the remote and it will reboot.

do the factory reset and do your setup again.

I didn't want you to think I was spending the money on myself. That's why I posted a reply explaining where the SatFix Bux went.

Here's a little token of my gratitude for your generous donation. Please accept it in the spirit that its meant...

I'll probably pull the mainboard out one of these days and see what the bottom side looks like...curious if there is any kind of signs of over heating on the back side of the board. Mine will load the files and I can access the main and sub menus but just can't get anything to work beyond that on either iks or android side. I guess it is possible that the LS500 that was in it originally went bad and the one I ordered was bad out of the box...that would explain the no Q & S issue. Wished my Mega used the same module I could test it in that box but it uses the SK200 module. Also noticed the ethernet connection on the andriod side doesn't seem to be working on my as well. Of coarse it may have not worked from the get go...always had the wifi hooked up on the dish side.
