OK..From your post I can assume the motor is "not" running?
Or is the motor "running" and the drum not turning?
Or is the motor turning and the drum turning and you have no heat?
    Cheers
    any

No motor running, no drum turning, no heat. just dead.
when push botton to start nothing. I have no idea of ins and outs
of dryer components or how they operate.

... you probably have a broken drive belt...if the belt breaks ,nothing will work

Check the electric outlet if it has power. Will replace the starter switch located at the door.

If you are electrically incline and not a handy man, do not attempt anything. Get someone who know or buy a new one.

It could be as simple as a broken belt or burnt thermal fuse....how to get into different models of kenmore dryers depends on where the lint filter is located....

Could be also something as simple as the door interlock switch. Open the door and "jogged" the switch/push button while trying to start dryer.
