    Default Foot Problems???

Over the last few mnths I`ve had some on and off foot issues...mainly in the big toe area but also somewhat less across the ball of the foot............lots of pain etc.

They gave me some gout medication but I wasn`t sold on that because I do a lot of heavy lifting and stairs. I also played sports heavily my entire life till mid 40`s so I was always on the balls of my feet.
This past week settled the gout issue I`m thinking.............I had a lot of wheelbarrowing and lifting heavy(50lbs) paving stones that I got free off a job site for my daughter`s garden. After 3 days of this last nite and this morning I can hardly move so what I`m asking my compadres here......if anyone suffers from this, how they addressed it and if they tried those Dr Scholl`s ball of foot relief pads.
Pic above is roughly point of pain but not up the instep just at base of toes right across foot.
    Thanx.

OK, this may sound like a wizards/witches cure but it has worked.

The human foot has the most sweat glands then any other part of the body, all the junk in your body tends to wind up in your feet, they make a "Foot Detox" pad that will literally suck all this junk out of the feet, you try it what do you have to loose.

Here is some info on this, you can also google about it.
    Code:

And a good place to get some pads.
    Code:

I didn't think this stuff would work as I had a job that required me to stand for long hours at a time, and some days my feet killed me at the end of the day, a friend recommended these pads that you put on your feet, he said try it out, the first time I did one treatment I almost threw up when I looked at the pads, when I took them off my feet they were black and smelled like coal tar.

After several treatments they cleared up and my feet had never felt better, but now with my back injury I can't feel my feet so I don't use them any more.

Does this occur in both feet? An X-ray could go a long way in determining the problem. If both feet Arthritis is a possibility or maybe pre-diabetes. I had a problem with my right toe when traveling long distances and keeping my foot in one position.......i need one of those Detox pads for my brain,

Use a good insole pad and lots of ice. See your doctor about having some insoles made and if you use ice remember twenty minutes on forty minutes off.

Doesn`t sound like a witch`s brew to me pal.........gonna give it a try. I`ve heard about them a while back but never tried them. Considering I still smoke the residue should be pretty nasty.

Xrays were neg....had blood tests about 6mnths ago so if diabetes was an issue I`d know. To note...this only happened as I recollect after doing work in some pretty unorthodox positions for long periods......till this time.

Yup......I`m trying a couple cheapies first before I get locked into Ortho docs because getting those special shoes or devices may get a little costly.....but the odds say I`m heading in that direction.

It seriously sounds like you have gout. I had unbearable gout pain for several years until 3 years ago my Dr. put me on Allopurinol.

I take 100mg's a day and haven't had foot pain in 3 years. It changed my life.

That`s what the doc and I thought as well a couple mnths ago when it first happened and he also gave me Allopurinol 300 mg/day that I`ve been on for a couple mnths. I wasn`t sold on the idea so I kept a log of when the "gout" flared up over the last couple mnths and every time it was when I was doing something very physical on the balls of my feet for long periods or bending forward at the toe joints for long periods. I should have mentioned my feet are flatter than pancakes and that is a precursor to a joint issue as one gets older.....................not that I am LOL.

The alternative to getting old might not be appealing either.

Yes sir....that and a lot of wear and tear much more than the norm I`m thinking, could very well be a big part of the issue.
