    Default over heating

    good day everyone. question,i have a xfta on viewsat 9000 but the spk 8 is over heating do you know how i could fix this or know any one that can help.thanks wagie

    I take a computer fan and wire a USB end onto it and just place it on top of the receiver on the side of the spk 8 board, you can also buy laptop fans and do the same thing.

    your Viewsat 9000 is it a v1 with no fan? If so then you need to add a fan. If it does have the built in fan... is it still spinning, if not replace it. While you are checking that look at the capacitors on the PSU to see none are bulged.

    a laptop cooler will work as well.
