    Default Sol

Looks like I can't get replacement parts for my old Von-Wise actuator, so I need to get reviews on good (but cheap) 24 inch actuators, this so I can save up some green stamps for a new one, otherwise I'm SOL on "C" band.

Any one have a good source and review on one??

Yah thanks Benny, I have looked through fleabay and other sites like that, it looks like my motor is an old one, they (VonWeis) do not even have parts for it, so it looks like I'm out of luck as to repairing it.

So I need reviews and suggestions for a new one.

Never ran a big dish so not much help there and the only actuators I have used that looked like that were industrial ones that ran $2-3K.

I need the reed sensor and the plastic East/West hard limit cogs, the motor is acting up as it jumps around the satellite I send it to, I have to manually jog it back into position, and some times it jumps over the satellite.

The motor is working good as I can manually scan from East to West in one long sweep and it will not jump around like it does when changing the satellites by the menus.

These are the parts I'm looking for. http://www.satfix.to/showthread.php?...goofy-going-on

    See post number 10.

How is it with the "kU" band satellites, (if you have that type of setup) as I have a dual band LNB setup, and need the high resolution of a motor with 40 pulses like my old one.

i have 2 lnb installed: 1 for ku & 1 for C. my mesh is small enough to get ku in good conditions.
1 way to check if your mesh is small enough is to check the size of holes with a pencil.
The so called "combo ku/c lnb" is not working good (for me at least).

You posted a pic of your dish in my thread about dish flop when I read this I had another look at the pic. Looking through the back of the dish I can't see the other lnb only the one at prime focus ? Am curious how you have it mounted...
