OK......here goes it, from top left to right
1st row......Larry Hillman, Tim Horton, Bobby Baun, "The Big M" Frank Mahavolich
2nd row.....Billy Harris, "Clear The Track Here Comes Shack" Eddie Shack, Carl Brewer
3rd row...."The Chief" Captain George Armstong, Johnny Bower, Bob Nevin
4th row...Ron Stewart and Dick Duff

Little known fact(great trivia question).....Dick Duff was also a head coach(interm) for the Leafs......for a whole 2 games in the `79-80 playoffs and lost `em both.
These pics were taken at Whites Restaurant in Windsor located coincidently adjacent and connected in the basement by tunnel to the infamous "Elbow Room" that frequented the likes of John Dillinger, Detroit`s Purple Gang and on occasion Capone himself. It was a raid on the Elbow Room that partly was responsible for the suspensions of Lions Alex Karras and Packers Paul Hornug due to NFL betting. The Elbow Room was typical of every smoky dungeon of prohibition style poolroom you saw in old movies. It was housed in the basement of a 2 floor bowling alley complete with escape route to the alley or thru the basement of the restaurant next door. Habs Players and Leafs players alike stayed in Canada at the Elmwood Casino(Windsor) when playing the Wings in Detroit and often filtered their way into downtown and on to the Elbow Room.

I seem to recall George Armstrong doing something with the leafs later on after his playing career
I see him removing removing his dentures and smiling in the camera ....

What roll did he play in the leafs organization after he's playing career ?

Supposedly there are some Habs pics as well somewhere here up in the attic. Those Leafs pics I had lifted and enlarged from originals that came originally in one of those little folder books of about 10 pics when they used to process the film. Not sure which company put them out if it was Kodak etc etc I can`t recall. I`ve never seen the Habs photos but mom swears they are up there in a box of pics....trouble is, there are lots of boxes of pics and the folder is originally only about 3 X 3 or maybe slightly larger. Someday I`ll get around to look for them....cold in the attic now LOL.
