    Default T4 setting OFF timer

    Hi guys,
Can someone please tell me how to set an OFF timer in the timer settings. I would like the box to turn off automatically every day at a certain time.

I have tried a couple of off/on combinations, but can't seem to trigger an OFF. I did have this working a while back, but I cleared the timers and now I can't remember how I did it.

    Thanks!

I didn't think there was a power off feature on the T4 but you say that you did have it working before. I would be interested to know how to do it.
All I know is if you were to set a program to record (for example at 11PM) and then go to the timer manager settings and click on that program you can set it for daily record, change the duration to one minute and then set the power off option to on. This should turn off the receiver at 11:01 every day. But you would also record a lot of one minute shows that need to be deleted.

It actually puts the receiver in standby - not powered off. You can also set a timer to bring it out of standby.

FYI - I haven't tried all this myself but I think it would work.

Never heard of a timer for that ever.

Thank you dogdayz, works beautifully. I was doing it how you described, however what I was getting wrong was the power off option. I was choosing OFF, thinking it would turn off. In actuality, it should have been set to ON as you mentioned to activate an off.

Also, you do not need to set recording-- this works equally well with PLAY instead of record.

    Thanks again.

Of course, I never thought of the PLAY option.
Thanks, you helped me learn something.
