Default Romo would accept $10M-12M offer from Broncos

Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has a massive $24.7 million salary cap hit in 2017, which is why no NFL teams are lining up to trade for him (despite Ian Rapoport's speculation of a three-team trade that would see Romo landing with a division rival). The 36-year-old quarterback expects to be released by Dallas, and he likely will be in the coming weeks.
Once he becomes a free agent, Romo will be free to choose his team and negotiate a new contract. If he wants to play for a Super Bowl contender - he does - Romo will have to accept a massive pay cut.
The Broncos would be willing to pay $10-12 million per season as part of an incentive-heavy deal, KUSA-TV's Mike Klis said on a recent episode of Denver vs., a new TV show hosted by Mile High Report's Ian Henson.
"Romo would take that deal," Clarence Hill Jr. of the Star-Telegram tweeted on Friday evening, referencing the $10-12 million price range.
Publicly, Denver has said they are moving forward with Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch. But they've also said they haven't ruled out bringing in a veteran. Because Romo is still under contract with the Cowboys, the Broncos aren't allowed to discuss signing him (publicly).
Once Romo is released, Denver will be allowed to talk about him as much as they want. They'll also be allowed to offer him $10-12 million per season.
Such an offer would be enough to sway Romo, according to Hill.

Would be a great fit if Denver can protect his extremely fragile body.

Tony Ohno is NOT worth that kind of financial risk:his next typical hit will probably be his last.Too fragile to bank on.
