Agree still run on Android Kitcat 4.4.2, that is old for a brand new box.

Here are the biggest negatives making it old technology already:
    "OS: ANDROID KITKAT 4.4.2
MEMORY EMMC : 8 GBYTES (default)
    MEMORY: 1GB
    INTERNAL STORAGE: EMMC 8 GB"

the 1 gig doesnt bother me as much as the OS The t1 has the same specs and its faster than other boxes with better specs
People were told that the t1 would get updated, they were also told the t6 would have a new file...lol
Its too bad that the team that brought you the satellite receivers and designed the t1 are no longer involved

I'm concerned that other box's out on the market that have been out for almost a year with the same chipset are running Nougat. The price point is premium wish they would throw in 2gbs of ram with that and since it's pvr ready a slot fir a sata drive. The only real appeal abd difference I can find is that Google play services are now active

Stupid release. They could have at least improved the hardware and OS. Gigabit Ethernet, maybe dual band wifi. Buzz tv box released a month ago running android 5.0 full play store and aptoide integration? Dual band wifi and 2 gigs of ram, full iptv android box hybrid. I'll still grab a T1 plus for testing purposes but seems pretty disappointing. Google play services, however, is a nice feature for resellers since you should now be able to utilize TeamViewer quick support for trouble shooting.

Wont be able to load Kodi 17 on these.
There is better iptv boxes out there.
Better ones to come out to.
Already have a T1 no need to buy the newer one.

The T6 is a flop. Worse box under the Dreamlink name imo.
Mines a paper weight. Never gets used.

    I also agree with nobodyspecial

    Default Codex update issue

Hi, using DOL on a DLT1P, does anyone know what is that prompt about updating the codex when I select any channel? If I select [yes] to update, the STB locks up and I would need to manually reboot to get the unit working again. If I select [cancel], the broadcasting channel locks up after a minute or so. I tried many times but it won't update, it just locks up.

Your insight would be gratefully appreciated.

Do a factory reset then when you get to the codex request say "NO" I heard from a reliable source that your unit will crap out if you install the codex

Thanks for your response. An authorized reseller wrote me that I must install the most up-to-date CODEX in order to view the channels and run properly. He advised to do a factory reset after uninstalling the DOL, then reinstalling it.
