    Default Vegas Raiders

If you build it we will come !!
what 750 Million gets ya ...

I am beginning to believe, once a team reaches parity with State or City, building funding
they demand new buildings ,, almost as though teams, not just the NFL but also NHL,,,,
look for example what's going on in Calgary,, Teams demand new buildings just as the city
is about to be turning a profit,, forcing cities to shell out another 2, 4, 6, hundred million
for another 10 - 20 year term with the team.

win win for both sides ,, teams get new buildings fans get new buildings ,, cities get all those
tax incomes and states get all that payroll tax. (for a guaranteed 10 - 20 years)

Cobra......related......now I know why that little fidget Bettman was on stage yesterday when Foley was talking NFL....Guess everyone isn`t all that thrilled about the Raiders in Vegas after all. Bettman probably just wanted the free lunch

One day after welcoming the NFL Raiders franchise to Las Vegas and said it was an exciting time for the city, it seems Vegas Golden Knights owner Bill Foley has drastically changed his opinion.
Speaking to Vegas Hockey Hotline, Foley said he had originally hoped the NBA would be the next major sports league to move to Vegas so a team could share the T-Mobile Arena with him. According to him, something that makes much more sense than spending $750million in public funds to finance a football stadium.
"There are a lot better ways to spend $750 million than on bringing the Oakland Raiders to Las Vegas," Foley declared. "Spend it on police, firemen, and teachers, and have all three be the best in the country. But I guess we're going to make a $750-million investment in a stadium."

Less than 24 hrs after saying it should be a great source of pride for the community, Foley says if he had any control over the situation the Raiders would not have been allowed to come to Vegas.
"If I had had complete control of the situation, I would not have opted to have the Raiders come here, but I had no control and they're coming, so welcome," he said. "Bring it on."

In the same interview, Foley also set the Golden Knights' franchise goals pretty high by saying they want to have a Stanley Cup parade in Vegas within the next six years.

Yes,, I heard Foleys' telephone interview ,, don't really understand why he would say what he said
he must have his own agenda which isn't apparent at this moment

Maybe they kicked him and Bettman out of the buffet when Bettman was seen habitually stuffing his pockets with prime rib.

My heart goes out to the Raiders fans.I can't imagine the move was because the Raiders were a financial flop:the Raider Nation paid to see both good teams & bad, thick & thin.It smells like the greedy Goodell crew is at the root of this.Greedy bastards that they are...

I heard the Raiders are raising ticket prices next season by as much as 40% on some tickets. Kick the fans while they are down.. Classless move if it's true about the pricing.

Maybe Goodell heard how much Bettman scammed out of the casinos to get the NHL in Vegas so he wants a cut of the action as well

I heard same of the Raiders tickets going up although I hadn`t heard how much....40% is a lot unless they`re those corps luxury boxes.

Even prostitutes have their standards.......................Bettman probably wanted to dress up like Napoleon and tried to use coupons to turn a trick.

TLG ,, this news article is about 2 months old ,, ticket prices were set to go up ,, but news of this recent development
who knows how season ticket holders will react ,, also keep in mind the move is not for two years and a stadium still
needs to get built ,,,, to put it another way, this is a divorce where both need to leave in the same house for two years

Winning season hits Raiders fans wallets as 2017 ticket prices raise sharply

    by Levi Damien@LeviDamien Feb 1, 2017, 1:26pm PST

This time last year, we were reporting that for the 11th consecutive season, the Raiders would not be raising ticket prices. A year later, the Raiders are 12-4 and headed for the playoffs for the first time in 14 years. With that, ticket prices will now jump up; quite considerably in some cases.

Many season ticket holders were shocked when they received the email from the team with the increased ticket prices. Here are the ticket prices from 2016:
As you can see, ticket prices will rise across the board. Here are the direct comparisons:

    2016 2017 % increase
    Upper reserve - Endzone $225 $330 47%
    Upper reserve - Corner $225 $400 78%
    Upper reserve - Redzone $225 $470 109%
    Upper reserve - Sideline $225 $540 140%
    Upper reserve - Midfield $225 $645 187%
    Mezzanine reserve - Endzone $450 $750 67%
    Lower reserve - Endzone $540 $820 52%
    Lower reserve - Corner $675 $855 29%
    Lower reserve - Sideline $765 $960 25%
    Lower reserve - Midfield $855 $1,065 25%
    Club - Corner $1,125 $1,235 10%
    Club - Sidelie $1,215 $1,480 22%
    Club - Midfield $1,350 $1,725 28%
    Average $623 $870 40%
Season ticket prices for both 2016 ad 2017 are based on 9 home games with one home game in Mexico City in each season.
The greatest increase comes in the upper midfield tickets which jump from $225 to $645; an increase of 187%.

In the grand scheme of things, the Raiders ticket prices are not outrageous. Most stadiums in the league are either fairly new or updated. The closest comparison to OACC was Qualcomm in San Diego. Their upper deck 2016 season ticket prices averaged $475. The Raiders new upper deck prices average $538.
The Rams lowest ticket prices in the relic that is LA Memorial Coliseum start at $360 ($10 lower than Raiders new price) and raise sharply from there, averaging $810 for upper deck seats.
A lot of fans were initially very upset with the size of the ticket price jump. While others have the added frustration is that the increase is happening in the midst of the Raiders making plans to leave for Las Vegas.

So the luxury club boxes went up only on average 25% and the working class tickets skyrocket just because they win?? In that case us Lions fans should be paid to go to the game.
