Default two receivers off of dual lnb 82 ?

Hello all, i've been trying to get 82 off of a dual lnb. But its not working correctly as when i have the same channel on both receivers, its kick the other one off it.

its the lnb on the right im using.

should this be a single with legacy sw ? or twinlnb in the dreamlink settings ?

Several types of legacy LNB's, one is the very old type that uses a DC voltage to switch between transponders, this type only has a single output for the "H" transponders and a second one for the "V" transponders, it is not meant to run two receivers.

A photo of the LNB in question will help.

For a single satellite like 82W a standard circular polarized dual output LNB can be used, this type will let you run two receivers.

And the brand of LNB you use depends on the dish your using, if it's not an providers dish but a standard FTA dish then there are many to choose from, if the dish is from one of the big satellite providers then you need to use one of their LNB's.

And as far as any switch setting you would not need a switch setting for a single satellite, you only need to set the switch if your looking at more then one satellite.

Your mixing apples and oranges, you have one standard and one old style legacy LNB, the two will never play nice together.

See if you can find a DP twin LNB, or two DP singles LNB's, this way your not mixing stuff that doesn't like to play nice with each other.

Questions on the dish, is it an old Dish 500? Or something else like a prime focus dish?

As it looks like your trying for both 91 and 82, if so you need a dish that has a wider beamwidth then a prime focus dish, the prime dish is good for one satellite only.

which one is better out of the two ?

    DTV32+ or the EMP-N888K ?

im mostly concerned with getting 82 from a dual lnb to two receivers. I really don't even care about having 91 at the this point. I was just keeping it for the odd channel here and there.

When connecting 2 receivers with diseqc-switches & Legacy lnb’s, if 1 receiver freezes when switching and “no signal” is displayed it could be low signal isolation in the lnb causing leakage into the other port. Get good quality diseqc switches like Emp Centauri switches and that should solve the problem.

If you connect the LNb to a 3x4 switch you can connect to 4 Tvs
