I personally don't like the linkbox 9000i or even the 8000i as they have a terrible guide. You cannot do a search for a program, something as simple as searching "hockey" and getting all things that have hockey in the description, or even searching a sports team name and getting all channels with that team on it. Just got a Jynxbox and the guide is great, and has a great search system and even has a cooling fan. Guide populates by itself, where the Linkbox you have to do guide search everytime (unless you use the usb trick which is not that great, as you have to leave the box on all the time or you lose the guide).
