Well I had a first time event happen with coax connections. I lost or had poor signal for a few days and wasn't sure what was going on. Last time it was due to extreme cold and I have my dishes mounted on a power pole in my yard. When the it gets super cold the power lines shrink and pull on the power pole and throw my signal off. It is happening right now since we are hitting -30 C. However this wasn't the problem this time. It has been so clod and age of cables may have been part of it but 3 of 6 coax connections on my 8x1 switch actually broke off the switch. The female threaded part was still on the 8x1 switch but the rest of the part was left on the end of the cable and broken off. Lesson learned on my part. Change/Check wires for weather damage. Lucky I didn't short out my switch or receiver.
