And another question is "Why did my switch die???"

Did you do something with the hardware?

i had it in a weather proof shield and during the cold spell it cracked when Mother Nature had a hot flash water must of gotten into it or something. I tried all ports same result. The box works fine. I tried it on another tv.

Aww man, I hate that when that happens.....What I do is mount the switch under a roof eve, in the attic or the basment/crawl space, keeps them dry.

Also Tupperware containers make for good water proofing boxes, mount them to a wall and come up through the bottom side with the cables, you have to caulk the cable entry points or they can get filled with bugs.

    They paint up nice also.

If you're only using two satellites, a sw21 works awesome.
