Default Help for Downloading Content from Newsgroups

For those of you who obtain content from newsgroups and have found that many articles are missing or incomplete from your newsgroup provider lately, try using SABnzbd ( Free software) hxxps://sabnzbd.org/downloads as your client.
I was using Grabit as my client and was having that problem. Now with SABnzbd most articles are there and complete from my newsgroup provider. Also if you use more providers you will have a better chance of success.

People are still using usenet? In the mid/late 90's, I spent a lot of time on usenet discussion groups. The satellite groups(alt.dss.hack, alt.dbs.echostar.hack, etc) were packed back then. It was good till about 2004, then the trolls and spammers destroyed everything.

This post was focused more to persons who use binary newsgroups for music, movies etc. Discussion groups have been taken over by Facebook ,Twitter etc.

I gotcha. I tried gignews years ago because the ISPs were throttling torrents at the time. It is probably the safest way to fly these days.
