Questions about ok2 apk

Do any of you have access to the OK2 Android App versions for OK2 ?

Just curious, since right now, my 146 Global HD (MTL) is working fine using STBEmu. A friend is using the OK2 Android apk, but tells me that on his (I think it is channel 30 on APK - but I assume that can vary - would be nice if they were same as STBEmu but no biggie ), Global HD (MTL) is only audio, but no video right now when using the APK.

Just curious, if it is only him, or something with the stream itself on the Android APK version.

I would have assumed they were the same streams, but I guess it may be different.

I'm up to renew soon, and I was thinking of trying out the APK version for a while (since I did like the interface when I tried it last month thanks to my "supplier"), but wondering how it is in terms of stability compared to STBEmu. Any comments are welcome.

He tells me he did, but same thing.. All other streams (at least the ones he uses) are fine apparently... But only that one for some dumb reason...

I just asked him, and He even rebooted his box, and still same issue.
Audio, but no Video, on just that channel (Global HD (MTL)) The other Global channels work fine.

Oh ya, and the numbering was strange since he was only showing his favorites, so the numbering was readjusted.. If show all channels, it is also 146.

Anyhow, if SOMEONE is using the APK, a quick check if 146 Global MTL is working (Audio and Video) would be much appreciated.
I know it works fine under STBEmu, and assuming any hardware based STB would be the same.

Those channels are streaming H265, change player to native,
Menu, setting, playback, Decoder and select native

Basically get a native player on an actual STB ? lol...
So what is the point of creating an APK if it has such limitations..

That wasn't the point.. Don't take it in the wrong sense.

i haven't touched a line of code in the last 10 years So on that note, I'll pass.

But if you are creating an app for your own service, I'd assume you'd want it to work better than any other alternative.
If they don't intend on having the apk work as expected with their own service, then there is no point wasting their efforts on it, instead of just telling people to use an actual STB, STBEmu, Perfect Player, etc...

Anyhow, if anyone is presently using the APK, I'd be curious if doing what herkimerjerkimer has mentioned: "Menu, setting, playback, Decoder and select native", actually helps with these channels ? Any side effects ? I'm assuming older boxes will just lag on those I guess.

It does work as intended,that is what the ok2 people said to do
