Does the box have an internal WIFI or is it a USB plug in?

Ether way can you go in and find the IP address that is being assigned to it by the router, then make it a fixed IP address, and don't forget the sub net mask, that's usually set to 255.255.255.0, also the gate way should be your routers IP address, that way it's not looking all the time for one from the router.

Can the android box be Set to Static IP in the network settings instead of Dhcp as default
If that's not the case then do as Terryl suggests assign it a IP in the router.
