    Default Sonicview 8000 HD

-I have a Sonicview 8000 HD which I bought many years ago its got all
the bells and whistles, but I was never able to set it up, I never took
the time to learn how to.
-So i'm thinking is now time to put it to use. So I have a few questions
to ask you all, because the last box I used was limesat and that's a few years ago
and when it stoped working that was the end of thing for me.
-(1)-I understand that iks is over or dead?
-(2)-so now there is only iptv?
-(3)-will the sonicview work today if I get a private donation will it work today?
-(4)-if so what files will I need to set-up the box?
-(5)-also where can I find info on how to set it up?
-(6)-also I understand that you have to use a max address, and where would
    I find a max address.
-(7)-not to sure if I asked all the right questions????
-It would be nice if I could get this receiver working, after all I paid good money for
it and never used it, playing time on this receiver might be a few hours. I paid
someone to set it up for me when I got it, and it did work when iks was working,
but when limesat came out I got it and used it tell it didn't work anymore because
the wife broke the cat 5 clip in on the box.
-I would like to thank U for helping me before hand..... THANKS

the sonicview is still one of the best in my opinion for iks and yes you can use it for iks i wouldn't get dn it doesn't seem to be stable enough but bev works plenty good
get a code from one of the resellers in here and you will be up in minutes they are easy enough to setup just load the latest file HD20
and hopefully you have the hub for it to hook up to your internet all the files are here and setups and no need for mac addresses thats for iptv boxes

IKS for DN isn't dead...but it has been mortally wounded:all the services use the same card cache, which is unstable & problematic.Bell is a far better choice from a problems point of view.If your heart depends on it & your "bells & whistles" should include an svlan/ihub as well as a turbo 8psk module.Point a dish at 110/119/129, get an iks sub & your ready to watch tv that freezes too often on a poor channel selection.lol.
As already mentioned, the 8000hd is probably the best stb ever, including it's power supply isues.

If you're talking about DN, you have Turbohd,Powerfta,& Tutu to choose from. They all use the same card cache,so choose he one that suits your pocketbook. Can't help you with Bell.

I have changed power supply capacitors in 4 SV8000 and they are working. problem is voltage of caps too low.
Have found cel1 129 bird is more stable for IKS. Glad some one is still supplying service.
