Question Best way to setup EPG and Channel List for BEV

    Hi everyone,

Long time reader, first time poster on this account since the reset, thank you for your helpful posts through the years.

I just setup a Dreamlink T5 on BEV and was wondering the best way to get the EPG set up, I'm on SD only. I did an auto scan and i'm up and running, is this best way to do it? Is there a loadable channel list kicking around on the forum? How you got your EPG set up would be helpful or a thread I could read would be great.

    Thanks folks!

I think most of us may have a certain way we want our EPG to look - so even if someone posted theirchannel list the way they like it - it may not suit you.

I don't like the way the list looks after a fresh scan - so I spent a several hours editing and deleting duplicate channels and so on and made a list that looks good to me.

It may not make a lot of sense to other people - but it's good for me.

If you just have the standard def channels it shouldn't be that long of a task to go the channel list edit mode and rename a few channels and get rid of some that are duplicates or that you don't need and then save.
Go to tools and save it to a USB flash drive in case something gets messed up.

Thanks for your help. To save a channel list, do i just select data transfer and it pops it onto my usb?

Yes - it will give you the option to save just the server list, just the channel list, or both (all).

its just like jedi says we all like are EPG lists different so if someone even shares there list it may not be to your liking. there also could be channels that you watch that someone deleted because they dont watch them

I never use/load someone else's Channel List, just like everyone has mentioned it may not suit you or be setup
for your location, I do "FRESH SCANS" (Sat Scans) once in a while, so that if there have been any changes made along
the way they will be picked up on etc.

Best to learn to use the edit system and delete channels.

Also you can also step through the channel and on the ones with just numbers not names wait on the channel for a bit then go up then back down. The dreamlink will learn the name of most channels.
