    Default Smart IPTV vs Smart STB sugestions please

    I have a LG smart TV. I would like to know if they both do the same thing and how well. Thinking of setting up a backup server without buying a stb for this TV. I don't want to send another $100 bucks for a box on my 2nd TV. My understanding is the Smart IPTV app is around $$-$$ when the Smart STB app is $$$. The Smart IPTV is in my download section but can't figure out how to get the LG to let me go shopping for the Smart STB. YouTube hasn't been much help. Thanks for any help!
