It is still only civil, NOT criminal. This case is like a few of the others in the USA. The defendant was selling preloaded set top boxes. He might lose this case.

He will shut the service down because of the legal costs. They will be in the multi millions. The fact that he was selling branded loaded boxes makes his chances of winning weak. He will take the money he has made and run.

3 rules:
1. Use a VPN
2. Pay with a vanilla card
3. If the IPTV service does not accept vanilla, set up a fake paypal account and seed it with a vanilla card, all while using a VPN to do the transactions. Use a throw-away phone(pay as you go) as your phone number for paypal
