The goal was to get a working android version on my old eeepc 900hd netbook, but the versions modded for that brand/model were too old to be of any use.
v3.2 android was the last version where the wireless rtl8187se built-in worked.
The latest version for working on other laptops like my hp 2000 and dell e5500 is v7.12 which is actually a newer version than what is on my phones.
Unfortunately the sirius xm app doesn't work correctly, the music plays like it's on 78 speed for all you old timers out there, much too fast.
It would have been nice to hack that, probably just a file that keeps track of how long it will work for free before you get the sub nag.
For hacking I had the netbook with 2 partitions; one for win xp and the other for android linux formatted for ext3
Sourceforge has a windows program for getting at the ext3 partition,so you can add or modify files using windows.
For just playing around you can boot live cd's with the various android revs to see what android looks like on a pc.
