    Default Hooking Up Three Receivers

Hello, I’m not sure if this can be done but how would one hook up three dreamlink t5 receivers pointing at the north bird with only a single lnb? Can each of the three cables be simply tied into a splitter going to this single lnb?
Does my friend need three lnb’s off the one dish?
Thanks for any help here guys.

So a quad with separate cables running to each receiver.
I’m still confused...wouldn’t a quad be aiming at different sats? He just wants one sat

    Bell uses 2 satellites.
    Quad is the easiest way.

You could do one legacy LNB dual to a 3x4 multi-switch

Thanks, so 2 boxes 91 and 2 boxes 82. I think he may like this idea. No switches involved. What’s the best place to buy a quad and will it work on 18” round dish or have to be elliptical.’

A lot of 18" dishes that have been in the elements have rusted nuts and bolts, and the plastic cover for the feedhorn is starting to crack.

To be effective and gather the most signal a Dish 500 pan should be used with a DP quad LNB, an 18" round dish will not have the correct beamwidth for two satellites spaced 9 to10 degrees apart.

If you look at a Dish 500 it is not truly round.

If you have DP or a DPP type LNB's on the dish now and want to add more receivers then a DP44 switch can be added to the system, however is it is an old legacy type setup then a SW34 or SW44 switch needs to be used.

The two types do not play well with each other if mixed, if a legacy system the a legacy switch is needed, if the newer band-stacking LNB's are used (both satellites on one coax) then the DP or DPP type switches need to be used.

Some around here are re-purposing the old 18 inchers for 5 GHz reflectors on the microwave internet service we use here in the boonies.

That will work...Everything but the DPP separators, those will only work with Dish or Bell OEM receivers.
