I've used STB Emu, and the OK2 Apk on some cheap chinese Android boxes (one was a cheap S905X based unit, and the other was a slightly better Beelink GT1 S912 unit). They worked fine on them also. I now use Mii Box 3 units (purchased from Walmart USA), and they are a lot better, since they are true AndroidTV units.
Overall, I found that in terms of stream stability, that STB Emu Pro was the best. I was not crazy about the EPG layout (since I prefer the matrix style as presented on the APK), but that is a personal preference.
The OK2 APK, is a little outdated (older version of Perfect Player), but it works for the most part. I do believe it has a few very minor memory leaks, and on boxes with smaller amounts of ram, it can sometimes have sync issues if the box is not rebooted for over 2 or 3 days.
I now mostly use an updated version of Perfect Player (1.4.6). This is very similar to the native OK2 apk, with a few bug fixes and a few small feature updates, like buffers, and a few guide behavior quirks are polished, and for decoder, there is an "auto" option, so you don't "need" to select between Native, HW or Software. It does a good job at auto selecting what is needed. I also find that on the rare occasions when some channels are acting up, and sometimes throw you back to the EPG, Perfect Player handles it better, by just showing the "buffering" circle, and then resuming. Yes it is a little glitch, but it recovers with no user intervention.
The one thing however is that I have configured it to always reload the EPG in full every time, so whenever I start it, it takes about 2 or 3 minutes to fully populate the EPG. Minor inconvenience, but no big deal.
There is no IPTV service which is perfect. Dependency on many streams runs deep, and not always under their control. However, it is costing me less per month for OK2, than the taxes on my previous cable bill So really not too bothered by the occasional glitch. And usually there are so many different channels carrying the same program, so if one channel has the occasional glitch, I just take the decision to change to the other channel.
I tried the IPTV Smarters app a few days ago. And while it seemed quite stable and has a fresh look compared to other apps, I still always go back to Perfect Player I'm a creature of habit, so maybe I'll give it another shot in the near future.

Who did you report those to?
I mean, is there a direct contact/support for OK2 we can get in touch with?
Because I am experiencing freezing on at least 30% of the channels so far... as in, the channel will either not load at all (mostly international ones) or when it does load it will freeze a minute into it and reset/bounce out to some random English channel (like the last viewed English channel I had on that worked). Quite annoying, if you can imagine.
And all that on 4 different boxes, same providers/different IPs, but all at least 75 Mbps down connection (tested and triple checked for quality and bandwidth) and on STB Emu app (latest version).
And on half of those boxes the EPG guide is off by a few hours for some reason and I have no idea how to fix/reset it in STB Emu app... as in, it works on 2 of them just fine, and on the other 2 it's off by X hours or something.
Is it some sort of a setting in STB Emu app I should be looking at that will fix these issues? Or is it due to OK2 service and whatnot?
Not even sure where to look anymore....
I tested it with the old OK2 apk and it still works...
When you bring up the Menu (press and hold the "OK/Enter" button, use the arrow keys to move over the double circle icon (second from right), and then press the down arrow (not "OK/Enter" - "OK/Enter" just refreshes existing data, doesn't fill in anything, used only to fix corruption). If you are using a "mouse" or "air Mouse" don't... Use the arrow keys to go over to the second icon from the right, and then press the down arrow. It should trigger an "update", but this is a forced update so it should fill your EPG (assuming the channels in your favorites have EPG). Some of the not so popular channels don't have EPG data.
Working good here. I don't use the apk file though.
I really like the new ch on ok.
Nice to see the movie ch are back.
Being defensive here wont solve your issues here or being in denial. I showed specific examples like the guide. Grow up and take responsiiblity. Also extremely rude pf whoever changed my thread title. These issues are n ot due to my setup we agreed that the apk is buggy, channels do freeze, and guide has problems. Grow the hell up.
I would be careful how you talk to staff
The issue is with the app which is your set up is it not?
The server is fine
