    Default Dead DL200??

    What are the symtoms of a dead dl200?

    My T5 suddenly is not receiving anything - all sats have red s&q.

    Tried removing the switch and went one to one with a couple of lnbs and still red.

    My T4 is sharing the same dual lnbs and it is working fine.

    Can't think of anything except getting a new dl200.

    Now why didn't I think of that?

    I'll give it a try before I buy a new one. Thanks for the idea.

    There is a bit of discolouring around the LD1117 voltage regulator on the DL200. I'm wondering if it failed from overheating. I might try soldering in a new regulator and see if it fixes the problem. (Much cheaper than a new DL200)

    It ain't the DL200. I took the board out of the T5 and put it in the T4 and the T4 still works perfect.

    More investigating needed....

    Have you looked into it being a possible power supply issue ?

    Hi i spent almost 500.00 trying to find my problem 2 different satellite reciever guys to adjust the dish and still nothing . It was the power alright but not the power supply like they say it was the dam adapter was only giveing half the power . I got a universal power adapter and works great now they should be useing the word ADAPTER not the inner power supply . The satellite guy said he had 10 calls on the same issue GOOD LUCK.

    adapter = powersupply

    The adapter supplies 12 vdc therefore includes the stepdown, rectifier and filter caps. It is the receivers power supply. Of course inside the receiver there is conversion circuitry to provide the 5vdc for electronics and the higher power for the LNB.

    I had an old 12 volt adapter from a PC sitting in my junk box so that's what I used and the T5 works great.
