These little receivers are very impressive. Just got mine to work on 91 sd.
Can't beat the price on these units either.

I agree, I have a V7 and was surprised too how well it works. The hardware and firmware is really nice. It doesn't have Turbo 8PSk but is does everything else. I use it for C-Band and KU. I too have north 91.0W and south MX 77.0W running. Their is no EPG for 91.0W and 77.0W but who cares as the signal and picture is much better for regular FTA than a Dreamlink T5. The receiver's footprint is so small compared to other receivers.
Do you get mx 77 in canada? What dish size do you recommend for that? Are there any providers on this site? I have a linkbox 9000i for bev and dn it works great but it’s more complicated then the v7. If i would’ve known that the v7 could handle 91 i would’ve stick to that instead of shelling out 300$ for a linkbox with the ls 500 module ( which failed me after 6 months ).
I get a few channels with the epg for 91 but only for the next 2hrs. Otherwise i use zap2it.com
Thanks for explaining it doesnt work for HD and epg! I saw it has 8psk and mpeg4 in its specs but wasnt sure if it'd work.
I will put out in exchange for a Thanks
It won’t work for dish and bev HD because they use turbo 8psk which requires an add on module in all capable fta receivers . ( ls 500 for linkbox , jb 200 for jynxbox, etc ... ).
It will receive mpeg4 8psk fta broadcasts like nbc on 103w. It will also open powervu and biss channels on c band once you’ve entered the right keys.
Is it possible to install a 8psk module in the receiver to receive HD.
No there’s no slot to insert it. The v7 is way too small anyways.
Thanks for the reply etlam34
