Default Formuler Z7+ (and other android boxes) auto shutdown?

Hey all, I just got a Formuler Z7+ and noticed that after a certain number of hours (2-3 hours), the box prompts that if no user input happens it will turn off the box. This also happened during the World Cup with my Dreamlink T2.
So my question is: Is there any inactivity standby timer rule on the ok2 server side?

I haven't seen this happen on any mag box, only android boxes.

    Thanks all!

No option in the box. No option in the system / android, nor in the iptv app.

I read online that it might have something to do with the HDMI connecting being plugged into the CEC-ARC of my Samsung TV. I'm going to try and test out a non-cec / arc HDMI.

Thanks for confirming it's not the server

Definitely not the server.. I have fallen asleep and forgotten it streaming on a few occasions and no auto shutoff
Actually I wish the OK2 apk or other apps would actually have that option (like TV Sleep mode), which you could enable and after a predefined time, it would turn off the box or at least stop streaming. Pretty handy for a TV in the bedroom.

    I agree with D.U.
I have a Buzz and a Forumler. I like the Buzz much better. Although I have to say maybe the pvr works a little better on the Formuler

And I agree with you both. Time to get a real box I don't PVR, so I'll stick with a buzz.
BTW: with a buzz, using the built in app, do I need username/password, or is it MAC based ?

Is worldwidesat still a reliable place to order them online ? They seem to be the cheapest at least for online order.

    Thnx

Would be primarily with OK2 for now. Just curious to know if I would need to change from credentials option, m3u based right now, to MAC based, when I get the buzz. And with the buzz, would one be a lot better than the other (if both options available).

    Thnx in advance.

For your information the WiFi will turn off in 2 to 3 hours. I was sent a Dreamlink app to monitor the problem!

lol, this thread got out of hand...

But, back to it, I've spoken with some other people who use ok2 with a mag256/322 and they all say the same thing, after 3-5 hours of the same channel playing without touching volume or anything with the remote, it stops playing the channel and goes back to the portal main page to select a category.

I'm not entirely sure what it can be at this point...

Can't comment about the MAG boxes, but this used to happen on occasion on the APK. Actually on some channels it was really annoying, it was every couple of minutes on others it was at the half hour intervals when EPG would switch from one program to another. It seems to be related to some underbuffer conditions, but I can't confirm, it was weird. This is one major reason I had switched to perfect player. Perfect player would not bounce back to channel selection menu when underbuffer would occur, it would just show the spinner, and then resume when data continued. It was not "perfect", but it was more tolerable. I have not seen that behavior however in a while.
