ACTUALLY, not true.. Even OTA/Satelilte has some delay from real life, I've seen some internet streams that are almost the same delay as satellite, and i've found the odd one that is even a tiny bit ahead.

My friend just got a Dreamlink T2. Yes the picture quality, I can tell is brighter, slightly clearer than a mag box, but it is still not IKS picture quality. Would others agree, or could it be just changing the type of server improve things as well?
Bro you have answered all the questions you asked in this post, what's even more sad is that you admitted to asking them before. You asked what factors play in a role in picture quality, ok, a friend got a new box and you saw the quality for yourself.

Tell me, what really could happen if you got an iptv unit and it's not the same picture quality as an iks server/device?? What will you do? Are the lights in your home going to dim or get brighter?

Just bear in mind that all these iptv service and devices are always improving. Myself and may others are grateful for what we have.

I had IKS for years and now have IPTV for at least the last 2 yrs. My opinion is my iptv is pretty much the same quality as iks.
I have tried many services and PQ depends a lot on what box you have and especially what service you are using.
My set up in a Formuler z7+ and best service I have tested so far for PQ is ……………………………..epicestreams which is not the same as just epic. Also VOD is another bonus that iks doesn't have. Yes there are some channels in SD but so is there on iks. I find that streams has the most in HD of anyone that I have tested. That's my personal opinion and an opinion only. Everyone is free to say and think what they want here.

Only OTA delay I'm aware of is the 4 second editing delay...to cathch & edit the profanity.lol
I Have watched iks & ota at the same time (same channel, same network feed) on 2 tvs adjacent to each each other:the sat feed might be about 1.5 seconds slower.

I have been using IKS from 2013-2016 and IPTV from 2016 to the present and to me both picture quality is similar but if I had to do it again, I'd take the IPTV route instead. Don't have to pay hundreds of dollars to set up a satellite dish and the wiring and aiming involved with IKS where IPTV is much cheaper and simpler to set up. So simple a child can set it up for under $100. IPTV also is not susceptible to loss of signal because of weather whereas IPTV signals are much more stable since it is hardwired to the provider's servers and immune to ECMs (a big plus). Also, buying IPTV subs is much more safer for me since is it easier and more anonymous to purchase it online (thanks RomieIPTV and PP CCs) whereas it like cloak and dagger when I had renew my IKS sub from my local reseller.

I'm not all that experienced with iptv. Although I have tried a few trials and subbed for a few weeks.
The main thing to consider with iptv and picture quality is your Internet speed.
For me, my current ISP can only get me around 10mbps. Not actually great.
IPTV I've tried was iffy. Combined with streaming or load on the data by using other devices. It can suffer.
I have a Roku and Fire TV and Android smart tv. For now most any 4k streams will pixelate. Lesser are usually OK.
Even with my 'net speed available, netflix and the 'go' streams kind of suck at times.

My router lets me combine data and I fashioned a Cantenna/DD-WRT setup to 'borrow' my neighbors open wifi.
Combined I get around 15-20mbps and 4k or lesser streams are decent.

IKS has been "good" for ku for me. ECM's and my resellers delays in getting me back up are frustrating. I have 2 iks providers. So I know when an ecm is really that. 129 just about dies in heavy rain. And that is the majority of HD for me.

I recently setup my C band dish with a 4k ARM receiver. WOW. Once you get past a certain learning curve, 4k is simply awesome.
And the signal blows right through rain. No reseller to contend with. But a whole lot of reading and testing is involved.
Plus the feeds are straight from the horses mouth. Give or take 44k miles.
