I would try what Nobodyspecial said and if that don't work then i would return it.
If it gets really hot then i would return it for sure and not bother with the fan.

Well if it's not getting hot you may be okay.Have you tried both wired and wireless? If it's wired it maybe the network cable or router. The cause is there you just have to search for it.

It seems the wifi 5ghz that causes the problem. i changed to wired and it blocks no more since a week now.

I experienced this freeze with noise issue last week and I had to unplug and restart.

What happens is the picture freezes and the noise is like a continuous tooting of a car/truck horn. The remote is unresponsive, the only way to get out of it is to unplug.

I must say, this has never happened on my 3000 before so I just shrugged it off. I too am using wifi 5gz
    Peace & Love

I have mine wired, and in the last 3 weeks it has happened to 3 or 4 times that I have had the unit seem to hang on the BuzzTV App. Actually, it continues to play the channel (video and audio), or if in EPG screen the preview windows continues to go, but it no longer responds to the remote. No up/down, epg, volume, etc.. Only key that responds is HOME button. But it takes me out to the main menu, but the audio continues to stream from last channel it was tuned to.
Instead of rebooting, I've managed to just go into settings -> apps, under buzztv, and do a force stop.
Then I can go back to main and restart livetv, just like normal.

Very strange. It happened once when I was on 211 (I just dismissed it). Now 2 or 3 times since 233.
The last time was this morning, and this time, I managed to hit the "clean" button from the home screen twice, and it killed the buzztv app which was still playing audio in the background.

    Something strange.
