    I have not tried this myself. But in theory it may work.
    On the back of the Buzz should be a RCA output.
    You could buy a device like this;
    hxxp://www.mygica.com/product/capit/
    Load all the software and drivers for the capit (or another device that can capture video), on the Laptop.
    Launch the capit software program on your Laptop.Hook the RCA output of the Buzz to the capit installed on a spare USB port on your Laptop.
    Cannot remember if you actually have to capture the video i.e. save it to your hard drive for you see it or not, but I do not believe you have to.
    In the capit software you should have video and audio from the Buzz, and the ability to save it to your hard drive if you wish, as well as the ability to go full screen.

    Does your laptop have an HDMI port?

    The RCA output on the 3000XPL I think was on the older versions of the unit. The newer versions (at least the one I got) no longer have the RCA/analog output ports. The new one only have power input, hdmi, rj45 ethernet, 2 USB and a microsd slot, oh ya, and the antenna. That's it.

    It would probably be easier to just install an Android emulator and run STB Emu Pro on your laptop.. Yes, I know you would not have the buzz interface and EPG, but you could watch TV on your laptop, using the sub you have on your buzz (assuming you are not using your buzz).

    Other option would be to use a USB HDMI Video capture device, to capture the HDMI output from the buzz box, and display it on your laptop. Most quality units are pretty expensive (often more than the buzz itself).
    example:
    Code:
    hxxps://www.amazon.ca/dp/B017NL8OQK

    But you can get some Chinese ones from AliExpress. I haven't tried this specific unit myself, but something like this:

    IMO the easiest solution is to use a service that gives you the option to connect on a multitude of devices - StbEmu, Android apk, iPad, iPhone, Android Phone, MAC connection, iOS Player (IPTV Smarters), Web Player, tablet, laptop, Desktop, etc....
    You just have to install the appropriate app on your device and you can use the same User ID and Password on any of them. Some services only want you connecting one device at a time with that User ID and Password - but some allow 2 or more connections at the same time.

    You don't have to buy any extra hardware or fake any info or anything - it just plain works :-)
