    Default dish aiming

hoping somebody might have a fresh idea for me...
using a t5 and a bell 20inch with dishpro plus twin
    sat 82w
    lnb type ocs-dp
    power on
    lnb freq 11250
    22khz off
    sw 1.0 2
    sw 1.1 off
    legacy sw off

    sat 91w
    power on
    lnb type ocs-dp
    lnb freq 11250
    22khz off
    sw 1.0 1
    sw 1.1 off
    legacy sw off

on the 82 screen i can sweep and capture 72 and or 82 within seconds, very strong signal. with this lnb i can not find 91w at all.
on the 91w screen i can not find any bird of any kind at all.
if it was just the internal switch or the 91 lnb shouldnt i still see 91 through the 82 page. if the 91 page lnb was working shouldnt i be able to see 82?
i should mention i hooked up the box initially to the pre existing dish and had 91, so the line of sight must be fine. I messed with it (i know i know ) because 91 was only in the 70's but 82 in the high 90's and wanted to improve the signal strength of 91.
Is the internal switch toast? Is the lnb toast? why cant the 82 page see 91? are my settings correct?

    Thanks guys

What do you have the LNB type set to?????

OCS-DP, Dish, standard or something else???

And when re-pointing this dish you must point it in-between the two satellites, ""dishpointer.com"" can help you with the correct pointing directions for your location.

I have tried pretty much all lnb settings available with no difference. The search for 91 gives only red bars at the high 90s percent for s and q

I have a 32in dish coming tomorrow with two regular lnbs and an sw21. Hopefully it will work better. Question... Can i set skew right off the bat and still find 91 82 or do i have to look for 91 in prime fashion and then try to skew in 82?

Have you gone to dishpointer and looked up the settings for elevation, direction and skew for the dish you have?

It may be slightly out of alignment, this can cause you to miss one satellite but get the other, just enter your address and select the multi LNB and look for the 82 @ 91, select those satellites then zoom into your location and you can move the marker around to where you have the dish mounted then click on it, this will give you a line on a map pointing at the two birds.

It will also give you the correct info on how to setup the dish.

Pointing at two satellite is a bit harder then just moving the dish around and trying to get both lined up, with two satellites and a dual satellite LNB like the DP twin...??? Does the LNB have one big oval eye on it???...It can be a slight challenge, and sometimes a hair pulling throw things off the roof situation..

You should set the skew before hand....And remember you will be pointing the dish in-between the two satellites....

You said you can get the 82 signal very easily - so point it until you are getting the 82W signal.
If you are standing behind the dish - then you should be getting the 82W Sat from the LNB on the right hand side - so put a piece of tinfoil on that LNB to cover the lens and see if you are still getting the signal.
If you are then the dish is pointed correctly - if you lose the signal then you are picking up the 82 Sat from the wrong (left hand side) LNB. Try re-pointing the dish until you can pick up the 82 Sat from the right hand LNB.

If you are getting the 82W sat from the right hand side LNB - then the 91W signal should come in.

Remember when checking the signal strength to be on an active transponder or you will not see a signal.
